Campus Alert: Tropical Storm Hilary

Out of an abundance of caution and in line with the decision by LAUSD to remain closed, Los Angeles Valley 大学 will conduct business remotely on Monday, August 21, 2023.

Except for essential personnel, no employees, students or community members should be on campus. Normal operations are expected to resume on Tuesday, August 22, 2023.

8/20/23 -- Los Angeles Valley 大学 is monitoring Hilary as it approaches the Los Angeles area. 的 safety of all college locations and team members is our top priority.

的 National Weather Service has downgraded the hurricane to a tropical storm as it reached Southern California Sunday midday through Monday. A flood and tropical storm watch has been issued for parts of Los Angeles County.

  • LAVC Administration is monitoring the storm closely and coordinating preparedness and response planning, 包括 checking facilities for potential flooding and leaks.
